Help wanted: Engineering Career Fair offers chance for jobs, internships

It's a chance for students to engineer an opportunity.

More than 115 companies will visit Kansas State University to recruit engineering students for full-time jobs and internship positions at the Engineering Career Fair, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, on the second floor of the K-State Student Union.

Companies attending this year's fair include Black and Veatch Corp., BNSF Railway Company, Cargill, Cerner, Garmin, Halliburton Co., Kansas Department of Transportation, Koch Industries, Perceptive Software, Spirit AeroSystems, Schlumberger and many more.

The Comupting and Information Sciences Department is accepting 2012 DoD IASP scholarship applications. For more information go to, http://www.cisa.ksu.edu/iasp2012.php

The Computing and Information Sciences Department now has a section on K-State On-line solely for our Seminars, How-To talks, and Distinguished Lecturers.

The section will provide you access to the speakers power points, videos, and any other materials that have been provided. If you wish to have access to this section please email Susan Cregg at scregg@ksu.edu to be added.

Spring 2012 enrollment starts October 24th! Be sure to meet with your mentor prior to you advisor. For more details on how-to enroll see the attached PDF.

Simon Ou, Gurdip Singh, and Eugene Vasserman, CIS, received a two-year $299,652 NSF Scholarship for Service Capacity-Building grant for their project "An Innovative Cybersecurity Curriculum for Civilian and Military Workforce."
